The Horizon Award is a special award by the Joint Leadership of the United States Congress and the Congressional Award Board of Directors. The Horizon Award is presented to individuals from the private sector that have helped expand possibilities for all Americans through their own personal contribution, and have set exceptional examples for the next generation of young people with their accomplishments in their lives. Tom was an excellent player, and was grateful to be in such a talented and experienced group. He was able to practice and playing with a lot of enthusiasm when his Magnum schedule permitted .... He was kind to us all, and we enjoyed the large crowds which replaced our usual few spouses and friends at the national tourney games. ".
