
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[5]] is a Mexican and American actress as well as film producer. She began her career in Mexico with her starring role in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were just among her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also wrote she became the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6In addition, she earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In the following years, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
